Adidas Samba

Before we indulge in what is arguably one of the ultimate classic trainers of all time, lets start with a bit of history.

The adidas Samba was first produced in 1950 to allow football players to train on icy surfaces. The shoes original design featured the legendary three stripes along with the gold trefoil on the tongue. As the years passed, and the Samba aged, new editions evolved from it including the Samba Millennium and the Samba '85.

Although still used for training and futsal, the shoes popularity has soared as a casual wear shoe especially among fans of the game.

When you've been around for as long as the Samba has, you live to see a lot. From the world of skateboarding and punk-rock to legendary futsal matches around the world, the Samba has seen and done it all.

Some hold the view that the Samba is plain. We disagree. Elegant, classic, timeless, are just a few words to describe this legendary shoe. Every stitch used serves its own purpose. The shoe is built to perform and just happens to look sharp doing it.
